FAQ

Can we go somewhere epic without it turning into a full hike?

Absolutely!

Location guidance is one of my favorite parts of the process. I’ll help you choose spots that align with your vision, timeline, comfort level, and sense of adventure β€” whether that’s a sweeping mountain view or a quiet lakeside moment.

Some of my favorite areas include Loj Road, Mount Jo, Indian Head, and a few places not marked on the map.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?

Travel to sessions in Lake Placid and within a 20-minute drive  is thoughtfully included in all portrait and wedding collections.

For celebrations taking place beyond that area, travel is custom-quoted in advance and outlined clearly β€” allowing for a seamless, well-considered experience with no surprises along the way.

Whether your celebration unfolds close to home or somewhere farther from my home base, every detail is approached with intention so you can remain fully present at your session.

We feel awkward in front of the camera β€” will you help us?

More than okay β€” it’s expected.

Most couples tell me this at the start, and nearly all leave saying, β€œThat actually felt fun.”

You don’t need to know how to pose or where to put your hands. I’ll gently guide you when needed and give you space when the moment is unfolding naturally.

Think of it less like a photoshoot β€” and more like being fully present together, with someone quietly documenting it.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

You’re going to be here in the Adirondacks β€” weather is part of the story.

Some of the most powerful images happen in mist, snow, wind, or soft rain. I’ll help guide decisions in real time, adjust plans if needed, and ensure you still walk away with meaningful, beautiful imagery no matter what the skies decide.
